We took Nemo to see Dr. Liz last night about the water in his ears. After careful examination, Dr. Liz announced that his ears were spotless. I must have accidentally sprayed some water into his ears last time when I tried to stop him from running out the doors.

I downgraded Nemo’s activeness level. It’s sad but I think I finally see the truth now. Yesterday at Dr. Liz’s office, one of Dr. Liz’s cats jumped from the couch all the way up to the top level of the cat tree, which was about 3 feet to the left and 4 feet up! Both Mike’s and my jaws dropped to the floor witnessing that. When we picked up our jaws from the floor, we saw our beloved Nemo quietly sitting in the carrier, blinking his big, innocent eyes, looking all adorable and, well, chubby. Not two days ago, Nemo tried to WALK from the back of the couch to the window sill but he fell through the gap! The gap was….(drum roll please)…1 foot wide.

Nemo, don’t feel bad. We love you anyway.
