Veggie mixToday I made puree with the following organic vegetables: kales, alfalfa sprouts, celery leaves, green leaf lettuce, and carrots (very small amount). The puree has a very pungent smell because of the celery leaves and alfalfa sprouts. Nemo took one bite, gave me this “what-the-heck-is-this” look, and then buried his face in his bowl again. We’re so lucky to be blessed with such an easy-going cat. I put the leftover puree in a container for the next few days. I figured that even if the Vitamin C and E, and some other nutrients, are gone, at least the fibers are still there. By the time this batch is done, I’ll change to some other vegetables and add more carrots.

It’s been over a month since we put Nemo on raw full-time. The small bumps on his neck area are still evident. I think it’s even more now than 2 weeks ago. The homeopath said that there were two possibilities for these bumps—either that he’s allergic to some ingredients in the Feline Immune System Support, or his immune system is fighting with the vaccine and trying to push it out of his body. In order to rule out the first possibility, we’ve decided to stop giving Nemo the supplement, starting today.
